The Location
The property is an ancient Italian country house situated on an estate in the middle of the green hills of Umbria near the border with Tuscany. This is one of the most beautiful parts of Italy. The estate is situated in Ponte Felcino, just outside of Perugia, the capital of Umbria.
In this peaceful paradise you can enjoy the Italian climate, the beautiful evenings and the rustic atmosphere that will give you a memorable Italian experience.

The House
This stylish mansion, which dates from the 16th century, has been completely restored to the highest standards and equipped with all the modern comforts. It is detailed with all of the original materials such as wooden beams, hand-made terracotta tiles and other antique materials. From all the windows and corners of the house you have beautiful views of the gardens and the surrounding area.
The mansion is about 425 square meters and situated in the hills, overlooking the surrounding landscape. It has a gorgeous spacious living room, a separate dining room and a fully equipped modern kitchen. There are 5 big, but cosy bedrooms with 5 luxurious bathrooms. There is covered gallery with 3 arches in front of the house and a big covered terrace around back.
The Interior
The large living room, about 75 square meters, is distinguished by a large arch and is comfortably furnished with ample seating for 14 people. Original elements include the antique fireplace, the wooden beams and the antique tiles to make the picture complete. The living room is equipped with DVD player and Hi-fi system. There are large doors on 3 sides leading to the gallery, the covered terrace and an open terrace.
The dining room (about 30 square meters) has a 4-meter wooden table with 14 wooden chairs and has 3 doors leading out to the terraces that surround the house.
The professional kitchen (about 22 square meters) is next to the dining room, with a big oven with cooker, an big American-style side-by-side fridge with ice-maker and cold water machine, coffee machine, toaster, microwave oven, dish washer etc. There is also a small table that seats 4 people, and a big BBQ outside.
On the first floor, the main corridor leads you to 4 of the 5 bedroom suites and the big covered balcony or "loggia". From here (above the gallery) you have a nice view on the garden and surrounding landscape.
The 5 large bedrooms suites in the main house are all equipped with air conditioning and their own private full-size bathrooms. All the rooms have full-size closets with antique wooden doors and they are all romantically decorated. Every bedroom has a beautiful view over the surrounding area.

The Bedrooms
The master bedroom suite "Tre Archi" (about 40 square meters) has a wooden king size bed, is well and tastefully furnished and has a fireplace, safety deposit-box. The bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet, and bidet.
The bedroom suite "Umbria" (about 30 square meters) has a wooden bed and is well decorated with traditional Italian antique furniture combined with contemporary elements. The bathroom has shower, bath, toilet, bidet and 2 wash basins.
The bedroom apartment "Rosato" (about 35 square meters) has its own entrance with wardrobes. In the bedroom is also a big king size-bed and a wooden antique side table with chair. In the bathroom with blue tiles with flower motif there is a large bathtub, a separate shower, toilet, and bidet.
The smaller bedroom suite "Bella Vista" (about 23 square meters) has 1 double bed and an old wooden wardrobe closet. The decoration is a combination of modern art and Italian furniture, in an original but cosy combination. The bathroom has a toilet, bidet, and full-size shower.
The bedroom suite "Giardino" is on the ground level (about 28 square meter), with big doors that open onto the covered terrace and the garden. In the early years this used to be the kitchen/living room. These days it is a big bedroom apartment. It has a big wooden king size bed and nice furniture and side table. The entrance hall has 2 old wooden wardrobes. The smaller bathroom has a toilet, full-size shower and sink.

Additional Accommodations
Should you require more then 5 bedrooms, there is an additional accommodation for two people in a guest cottage (annex). The annex Tezio (about 45 square meters) has a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. There is a double bed and nice furniture. The private bathroom is equipped with shower, sink, toilet and bidet. From all the rooms you’ll enjoy a splendid view of the Italian hillside and valley. The outside terrace are shared with the main house, Villa Tre Archi. The annex are only available in combination with the main house and are not otherwise let out.

The Swimming Pool
The full size, private outdoor pool (about 14 x 5,5 meters) is situated in the sunny side of the house in the gardens and has panoramic views. The terraces surrounding the swimming pool (about 75 square meters) are of antique terracotta tiles and comfortably furnished with sun beds.
The pool is available from 15 April until 15 October.
In the gardens you find a lot of olive trees, cypresses, lavender and rosemary plants, that enhance the Italian atmosphere.

Sight-seeing in the area
Perugia, only 10 km away, has many historical and architectural highlights, some dating back to Etruscan times (BC). You can enjoy the museums, theatres, restaurants, the terraces and the dynamic atmosphere. Also noteworthy for its shopping possibilities.
At comfortable distances for day trips are many historical and medieval towns including: Assisi, Gubbio, Cortona, Spoleto, Todi, Orvieto, and Montepulciano. Lake Trasimeno with its little towns and islands is also nearby. Also the cities of Rome, Florence, Pisa and Sienna can be easily reached by car or train.
The breathtaking wine areas of Montefalco, Orvieto, Montepulciano, Montalcino etc. are also close by and highly recommended for visits.
Getting here
Airports
The airports of Perugia (20 minutes), Rome (1.5 hours), Forli (2 hours), Pisa (2 hours), Ancona (1.5 hours), and Florence (1.5 hours) are all good arrival points. Car rental can be arranged for convenient pick up and drop off. See our trip planning resources for links to airlines.

The nearest train station is in Perugia, about 20 minutes drive from Corbine di Sotto.
